Comments about the Maori Flag

Do you support flying a Maori flag above the Harbour Bridge on Waitangi Day?
The last surviving member of the trio who designed the tino rangatiratanga flag was flying high yesterday after finding out it will appear on the Auckland Harbour Bridge from next year. In 2007, activist group Te Ata Tino Toa asked Transit to fly it on Waitangi Day, but the agency declined. Public campaigning has kept the issue alive since then and this year Prime Minister John Key asked the Maori Party to consult widely on….

Sweet az, I will plan a trip to the bridge just to see it flying, take a pic with the cuzzys for the mokos to see.
In view of the fact that Maoris begged King William [Victoria's father], culminating in a letter dated 16-11-1831, for the king “to become our friend and guardian of these islands, least the teasing of other tribes should come near to us, and least strangers [defined as the French]should come and take away our land” one could never say our Tiriti was forced.
Being known 60,000 Maoris were slaughtered and cannibalised between the above 1831 date and 1840, can it be any wonder the chiefs hounded Hobson to sign te Tiriti before the designated date of 07-02-1840.
The only way possible for the British to bring peace, law and order was by accepting the transference of sovereignty to them, in order not only to establish laws but to have the lawful power to enforce them.
The above resulted in New Zealand becoming British soil under British governance, one people under one flag. Hence, Hobson declaring to each and every individual signatory, “He iwi tahi tatou [We are now one people].
Thereafter, Hobson declared the Maori Tiriti as being our one and only defacto treaty and any other treaty signed would be a testament to that signed at Waitangi on 06-02-1840. And so, on the bottom of the govts false English treaty are the words, “Done at Waitangi on 06-02-1840.”
There are no special privileges available to Maoris that are not available to any other New Zealander in te Tiriti o Waitangi. This means there is ample evidence we have only one flag for “all the people of New Zealand.
Should anyone disagree with my letter above, please quote from te Tiriti text to prove me wrong, otherwise, any objection is worthless.
Since he iwi tahi tatou is not in the treaty then you are all shet. We have a Maori Flag, get over it! To make matters worse for you, it’s the best looking Nation flag in the world.
Isn’t victoria’s father was edward augustus kent the son of king william george?
aren’t you sick of getting your arse kicked g-martin-g?
it’s not even fun anymore – just sad
