My my what a lucky escape from the clutches of death for a man most deserving of such an ignominious departure. He will always be remembered as the man who sold out Rangitihi and other smaller Te Arawa Whanau out over the CNI Forestry debacle or rather scam. It was this man who was appointed by government who assisted by greedy ex army buddies rail-roaded the governments rushed CNI settlement through to avoid a major case for billions by myself and other Te Arawa representative of the original owners. Wira was appointed by Helen and Cullen to start a round of Hui at Marae to convince and scam all those idiots who were appointed as so called IWI negotiators by the crown to accept their watered down proposal most being unaware of what was going on behind the scenes. Naturally when such large sums are involved it was agreed behind closed doors that upon a successful outcome there was a promise of a big payout for themselves personally. They would all be rewarded handsomely for their efforts should they upon Wira’s instructions convincingly manipulate their IWI peoples to agree to their nefarious dastardly cunning proposal. Which was designed by the crown to get the majority to agree to pay the descendants of the original owners using their own rental monies. Thus Wira lied black and blue and in such a convincing manner to the elders and true owners and descendants of the Kaingaroa Forrest Lands that many didn’t even bother to read the governments proposal document and signed on the dotted line. Now that’s what I call good salemanship indeed. Thus without reading the proposal documents they bulk of the people who agreed accepted the deal solely upon Wira well practice speel. His words back up by his chosen greedy supporters supposedly as the truth of the matters involved driving their arguments home. Now that some time has passed we can see this was not the case at all, and when all is accounted for the government has ended up contributing nothing while the lawyers and negotiators all got rich when infact the IWI negotiators convinced them all into accepting heavily debt laden assets. This was the reason why I was so anti to the deal being accepted and ended up being so called excommunicated by those now in control of both Rangitihi and Tapuika Settlement Trusts and also other major IWI development funds. All this for simply telling the truth and seeking to warn them all that it was a scam and would cost us all dearly over the long run. As one can now see I was set aside unjustly by those who were only after control of the funding just so they could line their own pockets. Not one of these trusts since receiving their settlements has invested in an venture or in such a manner as to produce a profit on the original amounts received and in a secure manner that will provide them a stable return. 4% per annum in the Aussie Banks is not a decent return when inflation and management costs are deducted and should one look closely they are in fact running at a loss while paying huge salaries to themselves. No brain no gain is the ethos here with all these pretenders to the throne so to speak its a losing game. These greedy crown appointed negotiators were in the main all ex army buddies for that matter which may have had a bearing on the final outcome. You the reader decide. The $400M plus of the funds offered as the settlement amounts by the government was actually 19 nineteen years of back rent held on account and managed by the Central North Island Forestry Trust. This was conveyed to the owners supposedly as the government settlement contribution by Wira and Co’s meaning Cullen who just so happens to now work for Tuwharetoa one of the main benefactors of the settlement funds. Few know the allocation date used was falsified and out of date so as to make a proper and factual assessment of who actually owned the money on account. The crown wanted to keep it that way simply due to the tax take and management fees the fund was being charged annually. Fact is the data to determine a truthful allocation model had they bothered to gather it would have showed quiet plainly that Tuhoe and Tuwharetoa are not and never were the major beneficiaries of the bulk of the funds that have allocated to them by the crown appointed negotiators. Thus when all is said and done this man is responsible for spin doctoring the lies of the government to the original owners descendants and the Kiwi Public both Brown and White via the media and in person.
